Using laser processing to make nature-inspired functional surfaces

I am a Principal Research Scientist in the MicroSystems and Polymers team working as an experimental physicist. My research and development expertise spans areas including laser processing, photonics imaging and sensing, nonlinear and optical materials, as well as radiation imaging and dosimetry devices.

Throughout my career, I have made significant contributions to the development of novel materials and devices for diverse applications in photonics sensing and imaging, nonlinear optics, radiation detection, and the development of functional surfaces inspired by nature using advanced laser processing methods.

I am dedicated to driving innovation in my field to contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions with practical commercialisation applications.
