Construction Innovation

Accelerating productivity growth in the construction sector through business capability uplifts in innovation, commercialisation and collaboration

As the Head of Construction Innovation at Callaghan Innovation, I lead a dynamic cross-functional team of experts, collaborating on the design and execution of mission-led initiatives within the construction sector to contribute to a better Aotearoa New Zealand.

Over the past seven years, I've been at the forefront of driving innovation in construction at Callaghan Innovation, witnessing a remarkable growth from 186 to 510 businesses actively accelerating their innovation and commercialisation efforts. My leadership journey extends across the private sector, with senior management roles in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, coupled with broad experience in regional and international economic development.

In addition to my role at Callaghan Innovation, I am privileged to serve on the Board of Massey University's School of Built Environment. Beyond that, for the last 14 years, I've been a pro bono Business Mentor in local communities, supporting purpose-led organisations to increase their impact regionally, nationally and internationally.
