Taking engineering challenges into tangible outcomes
I am an Advanced Mechatronics Research Engineer in the Applied Technologies team. Since joining Callaghan Innovation in 2006, I have worked on both commercial and SSIF (Strategic Science Investment Fund) projects. My passion for cutting-edge technology aligns with my problem-solving skills to underpin solving complex engineering challenges.
As a research engineer, I derive great satisfaction from transforming complex challenges into tangible outcomes that benefit our customers. My projects have included programming embedded microcontrollers for smart systems through to designing automation and control systems.
My published works include "Pose Tracking using Ultrasonic Sensors in a Small Scale Environment" presented at the Electronics New Zealand Conference (ENZCon) in December 2012, and "Vision Strategies for Robotic Manipulation of Natural Objects" presented at the Australasian Conference on Robotics and Automation (ACRA) in December 2009.
I’m looking forward to continuing to explore engineering challenges that pave the way for a more technologically advanced future.
