Building Hawke's Bay innovation beyond agriculture
I am the Hawke's Bay’s expert Navigator working with local innovators and entrepreneurs to guide their access to Callaghan Innovation’s products. Within this work I value the opportunity to connect, support and enable innovative people to achieve their goals.
Although Hawke's Bay is known for its great agricultural sector, I have found the scope of innovation is much broader encompassing a range of areas including manufacturing and technology sectors as well.
I’ve built my broad commercial and not-for-profit experience in the tertiary, healthcare and high-performance sports industries. I’ve also been involved in governance for many years and am currently the President of Softball New Zealand.
As an expert coach leader, my work connecting with local people builds trusting and positive relationships so they feel supported and encouraged to get in touch when they need. I really appreciate the support I have received from my colleague Jenny Brown whose experience and insight is outstanding. This enables me to ‘walk the talk’ with all my customers.
