Guiding health tech to commercialisation
I work as a Health industry specialist within the Business Innovation Advisory team. I am passionate about the health sector and the advances that lead to real improvements in wellbeing. With a career that has two specialisms, research and commercialisation, I understand the technology that customers are developing, and can work with them on the best way to commercialise and grow their companies.
My specialist knowledge covers pharmaceuticals/clinical trials, medical devices/sensors, systems biology/data analysis, image processing, genetics and cell biology, key account management, sales, business development, R&D strategy, UX design (software), business processes and market validation. I have a particular interest in digital health.
Working as a BIA at Callaghan Innovation I am involved with many of the innovators in the health and digital health space. This has given me first-hand knowledge into what is required for start-up companies to succeed and created strong connections into the industry, government and research institutions. I am actively involved in the New Zealand Health Tech ecosystem and have been on the Health Tech Week organising committee from 2018-2022 and am part of the Health Tech Activator team.
