As work to disestablish Callaghan Innovation progresses, many functions, people and services have now transferred to their future homes. A number of products and services remain with Callaghan Innovation, pending the legislation required to complete the final transfers. These products and services will remain available and fully supported until their transfer can be completed.

The products and services listed below continue to be delivered and supported by Callaghan Innovation. They will remain available until their transfer to Public Research Organisations (PROs) can be completed.

Transferred to the New Zealand Bioeconomy Science Institute
A new PRO focused on research and innovation in the biological and primary sectors.
Transferred to the New Zealand Institute for Advanced Technology (NZIAT)
NZIAT is a new PRO focused on commercialising advanced technologies like AI, quantum computing, and synthetic biology.
Transferred to MBIE
The products and services listed below have now transferred to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE). You’ll continue working with the same teams and accessing the same products – they’re just now delivered from within MBIE.
