Callaghan Innovation is being disestablished as part of the Government’s wider science, innovation and technology system reforms, announced in January 2025. Our operations will gradually wind down over the coming months, with the organisation fully wrapping up by June 2026. A number of our products and services are currently in the process of transferring to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), with others scheduled to move to the new Public Research Organisations (PROs).
Services still available and supported
The products and services below remain available and continue to be supported by Callaghan Innovation. Each will eventually transfer to a new home – either within MBIE or one of the four newly established Public Research Organisations (PROs).
In the meantime, our teams are here to support you.
Transferring to MBIE
The products and services listed below will transfer to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE). Once the transition is complete, you’ll continue working with the same teams and accessing the same products – just within MBIE. You can continue contacting the teams through the usual channels, and we’ll keep you updated throughout this process if there’s anything you need to do.
