Analysis and enzymatic modification of fats and oils

I'm a Senior Research Scientist in the Biotechnologies group working in Lipids and Natural Products where I specialise in the analysis and modification of fats and oils, including utilising enzyme technology.

My experience includes extraction and analysis of biological samples and utilisation of enzymes for process improvement or lipid modification. Another aspect of my skill set is chromatographic and membrane separation technology for isolating and purifying biological materials. Working on customer projects, I have contributed to general biochemical assays and developed and validated assays for specific needs. 

As part of the Lipids Analytical Services team, I am involved in maintaining an IANZ accredited analysis for Phospholipids in Dairy Powders. My work has contributed to publications in renowned journals, including Lipids and The Journal of Supercritical Fluids.
