Abstract | This paper examines the data-link layer performance of a modified Advanced Time Division Multiple Access (ATDMA) protocol in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system when at operation in an indoor wireless environment. In particular, the paper examines the aspects of the modified ATDMA protocol the system designers should concentrate to obtain the most efficient operation of the protocol. The performance analysis was performed by a Monte Carlo simulator. The system model includes Rice fading, log-normal shadowing, distance dependence pathloss and co-channel interference. The system model also considers preferential channel access based on the capture effect. |
