New Zealand UAV and video technology companies set to make a scene at the world’s largest media and entertainment tradeshow.
From 18-21 April some of New Zealand’s top UAV and video technology companies will be making a scene at the National Association of Broadcaster’s (NAB) tradeshow in Las Vegas.
The NAB Show is the largest international tradeshow for production, media and broadcasting technology. In 2016 over 100,000 attendees from more than 160 countries are expected to attend.
Attractions at the 2016 NAB show include a Virtual and Augmented Reality Pavilion, an Aerial Robotics and Drone Pavilion featuring a fully enclosed flying cage for demonstrations, and 'SPROCKIT' - a space where market-ready startups present their new ideas.
Callaghan Innovation with NZTE, the NZ Film Commission and DreamWorks Studios, will be hosting a networking event during the show and profiling ‘NZ Inc’ as a centre of excellence for UAV technology and product development.
New Zealand's NAB 2016 Technology Pavilion
A New Zealand Technology Pavilion will be used as a platform for New Zealand companies Vortech UAV, Aeronavics, Dotterel Technologies, Britten Motion Pictures, and Wipster Ltd to build relationships and business opportunities in the US.
The exhibit is part of the prize package for Vortech who won the inaugural Callaghan Innovation C-Prize competition which focused on the 'next generation UAV technology for the screen industry'.
