Find out about the future of manufacturing - and how you can leverage the ‘fourth industrial revolution’ to create new business opportunities.

In association with the New Zealand Manufacturers and Exporters Association (NZMEA), Callaghan Innovation invites you to a seminar and breakfast workshop with leading German expert, Frank Wagner, on the future of manufacturing - Industry 4.0, and what it means to capture the digitisation of the manufacturing sector.

Industry 4.0 is heralded as the fourth major phase in modern manufacturing after the lean revolution (1970s), the outsourcing phenomenon (1990s), and automation (2000s).

Industry 4.0 is driven by four disruptions:

1. The rise in data volumes, computational power, and connectivity, especially new low-power wide-area networks.

2. The emergence of analytics and business-intelligence capabilities.

3. New forms of human-machine interaction such as touch interfaces and augmented-reality systems.

4. Improvements in transferring digital instructions to the physical world, such as advanced robotics and 3-D printing.

Attending this event will help you gain a better understanding of what this ‘next industrial revolution’ is all about, what implications it might have for your manufacturing business, and how you might leverage new businesses opportunities.

There is also an opportunity to meet and talk with Frank Wagner one-on-one. Please contact NZMEA for more details about this.
