Delivery partners sought for programme designed to increase the knowledge, experience and capability of software product development teams.

Callaghan Innovation is inviting proposals from organisations interested in delivering Build for Speed programme services.

Build for Speed is a programme designed to support a business implement enhanced technical tools and teamwork processes in order to:

  • increase the knowledge, experience and capability of software product development teams 
  • increase the pace of software development with better coding and work practices leading to increases in business productivity, and
  • enhance the job satisfaction of developers and improve overall team engagement.

Suppliers of Build for Speed services help software product development businesses or business units to measure their performance, identify and implement improvements to their processes, and - over an extended engagement - grow the software development team’s capability and support their delivery of business outcomes. Suppliers also introduce businesses to fit for purpose agile principles and practices through training, coaching and mentoring.

A recent review of the Build for Speed programme has shown that participating businesses that had implemented the recommended improvements in development processes increased business productivity and enhanced team engagement. Callaghan Innovation is now seeking to appoint up to three suppliers to a panel of providers to give our customers a wider choice of Build for Speed suppliers and to widen national coverage of this programme.

The RFP process for the tender began on 23 October 2017, and closes at noon 17 November 2017. RFP responses to the tender must be made through the GETS website.
