Blockchain technology has generated enormous hype while also showing tremendous potential to disrupt a myriad of traditional business models across almost every industry sector.  It’s a complex, developing field that business leaders ignore at their peril.

This workshop presented by Langdon Morris, a globally recognised innovation thought-leader and strategist, will help business executives understand the implications of the blockchain phenomenon for their business. Content will focus on case-study examples, strategic applications, and the future competitive advantages of blockchain.

  • Monday 1 October 2018
    1.00 - 4.30pm
Callaghan Innovation, Sangrahan Room, Level 6, 139 Quay Street, Auckland

Langdon will also lead participants through a series of collaborative exercises to address key topics:

  • Blockchain Terminology: What does all the jargon we’re hearing really mean?
  • Blockchain Use Cases: Sample use cases and hands-on simulations of blockchain applications from the food industry, health care, transportation, governance and identity management.
  • Blockchains and Your Business Model: What’s your current business model and how could blockchains affect it?
  • Learning Experiments and Concept Tests: What sort of blockchain projects constitute useful tests to learn more and possibly develop value for the future of your enterprise? How can these tests be carried out using agile innovation for speed and efficiency?
  • The New Zealand Blockchain Community: What are some of the key local resources you can draw on to move forward with blockchain? What support can Callaghan Innovation provide?
