AbstractNanostructured silica materials are of great technological interest for the development of electronic, catalytic, and sensing systems. Recently, there has been considerable interest in the use of triblock copolymer mesophases as extended templates for the formation of monolithic silica materials. Here, we focus on the use of the EO 106PO 70EO 106 amphiphile as a template to order the assembly of silicate "filler" ions (precursors) to form nanostructured materials.
